Andy and Ben are back!
A sequel to the hit rom-com "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" is in development at Paramount, over 20 years after the original film starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey came out.
The sequel was confirmed by Variety, which said that Kate will produce the sequel through her production company, with the studio hoping to reunite her and McConaughey as Andie Anderson and Benjamin “Ben” Barry.
The project is currently seeking a screenwriter, so casting will depend on the take.
Stacey Sher is also on board to produce alongside Hudson through her Shiny Penny banner.
Sher’s extensive list of producer credits includes “Pulp Fiction,” “Gattaca,” “Erin Brockovich,” “Vanilla Sky” and “Django Unchained.”
Directed by Donald Petrie, the 2003 film follows writer Andie (Hudson), who dates Ben (McConaughey) as part of a 10-day challenge, unaware that he has his own plan to make her fall in love with him.
