Oasis reunion documentary to screen in PH

Fans of Oasis will get to see the story behind the British rock band's long-awaited reunion when “Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger” screens in Philippine cinemas this September.

SM Cinema announced that the documentary will be shown from Sept. 11 to 13.

The film follows brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher as they put aside their famously bitter differences and reunite for Oasis' 2025 comeback tour. It also features backstage footage and the brothers' first joint interviews in more than two decades.

For Oasis fans, the reunion was a particularly significant one. The band broke up in 2009 after years of tension between the Gallagher brothers, whose volatile relationship had become almost as famous as the music they made together.

Their return to the stage in 2025 effectively ended a 15-year separation and gave fans another chance to see one of Britain's most influential rock acts perform together.

The documentary offers a look at what went on behind that reunion, from the brothers' return to working together to the preparations for the tour.

Oasis emerged from Manchester in the early 1990s and became one of the defining bands of the Britpop movement. 

Among their best-known songs are “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Champagne Supernova.”
