BUTUAN CITY – Brig. Gen. Aaron M. Mandia has been designated regional director of the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) that is based at Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City.
This comes following the designation of Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano as officer in charge of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Abrahano was appointed acting head of NCRPO effective Sunday, Aug. 23, and he replaced Police Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, who had reached the mandatory retirement age of 56.
Before heading PRO 10 and his subsequent appointment to Metro Manila’s police force, Abrahano served as regional Director of PRO 13 (Caraga) and briefly as chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Mandia succeeded Abrahano, a member of the PNPA “Kaagapay” Class of 1996.
The new Northern Mindanao police chief also previously served as PRO 10’s deputy regional director for administration (DRDA), brings at least two decades of career service across Northern Mindanao or Region 10 to the regional command’s top post.
Before his stint as DRDA, Mandia served as chief of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office from July 2021 to mid-2023.
