For a woman who has spent much of her life dancing through the spotlight, Regine Tolentino has entered another beautiful chapter: watching her daughter take center stage as a bride.
The actress, zumba teacher, fashion designer and entrepreneur recently celebrated the wedding of her daughter Reigne, a milestone that brought a mixture of pride and emotion to the ever-busy mom. “I feel extremely happy and proud of my daughter and new son-in-law!” Regine shared to Gossip Girl. “My son in law Jaime is a wonderful guy with a great family and I know he will take good care of my Reigne.”
The wedding was held on August 17, 2026 at Santuario de San Jose in Greenhills, followed by a reception at Sevenscape in San Juan. For Regine, there was also something particularly reassuring about her new son-in-law. She revealed that he has been part of their lives for eight years and has always been wonderful to the family. “He makes me very happy and is a gentleman to Reigne and our entire family of girls,” she said. “Even my daughters Reigen, 25, and Rosie, 6, love him very much.”

It is a fitting new chapter for a woman whose own life has been a whirlwind of family, entertainment and entrepreneurship.
Regine has long been known for her dancing and fitness advocacy. She became a licensed Zumba instructor and has brought her high-energy dance workouts to audiences around the Philippines and abroad. In fact, her fitness journey has become an important part of her lifestyle. Her secret to staying fit? No complicated formula. “I work out three to four times a week, with Pilates, dance classes and Zumba!” she revealed.
And Regine isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
As a licensed Zumba instructor, she continues to travel for events, with a USA tour and Asia tour in the works, followed by a Europe tour planned for 2027.
Her entrepreneurial side is equally impressive. Her Regine Tolentino Atelier has now reached its 27th year, a remarkable milestone for a business that began with her passion for designing clothes and costumes. Her boutique eventually expanded into formal wear, dance costumes, gowns and rentals, with her designs being used in television, movies and performances. Today, the atelier is doing well and is entering another stage of growth. ”We are expanding and franchising at this time,” Regine said proudly.
Looking at her journey, it is clear that Regine has never been content to remain in just one box. From MTV VJ and television personality to “Dance Diva,” Zumba instructor and successful entrepreneur, she has continually reinvented herself.
But perhaps her most meaningful role is still being Mom. And now, as she watches Reigne begin her own married life, Regine can finally take a step back, smile and know that one of her greatest performances has nothing to do with a stage. It is simply the joy of seeing her daughter find her happily-ever-after.
Regine would like to thank her friends and corporate partners that agreed to be prinicipal sponsors for Reigne and Jaime: Celebrity Andrea del Rosario ; Mrs Universe Philippines Vivian Caramba ; Noble Queen Lucile Cometa ; Hairshaft Salon Founder and CEO Lucy Britanico ; Golden Eagle Travel CEO Michelle Victoria ; IBPAP Rissa Golloso; Her Manager Eliza Timbol.
Her Aunties from the US Cheryl Maristela, Candice Gustilo Maristela; Gabriel and Ma. Felisa Villaluz; Jerome and Geraldine J. Ong; celebrity Urologist Dr Joseph Lee;
