Asia Rose Simpson eyes higher Miss World 2026 finish after Top 40 breakthrough

  • Asia Rose Simpson continues to make waves at Miss World 2026 after securing a Top 40 spot and advancing in several major challenges ahead of the Sept. 5 coronation.

Asia Rose Simpson has secured a place in the Top 40 of Miss World 2026, giving the Philippines’ representative a guaranteed spot in the next stage of the competition.

Simpson earned the spot after winning the Asia and Oceania leg of the Head-to-Head Challenge in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Aug. 24. The victory came as the 18-year-old continues to build momentum in several fast-track events.

She is currently also ranked No. 7 in the Asia and Oceania People’s Choice voting, based on the latest leaderboard of the official Miss World voting platform.

The People’s Choice race remains important because its winner will receive a direct ticket to the Top 6. The official voting platform also confirms that votes from the continental round carry over, while the four continental winners automatically advance to the Top 40.

Simpson’s Head-to-Head victory came after she discussed her SĒD (Sports and Dance) Initiatives, which promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being among young people.

She also advanced in the Sports Challenge, reaching the Top 24, and made it to the final rounds of the Top Model and Talent Challenges.

Her latest achievement adds to an already strong Miss World campaign.

With the Top 40 spot already secured, the focus now shifts to whether Simpson can turn her strong showing in the preliminary events into an even deeper run at the pageant.

The Miss World 2026 coronation is set for Sept. 5, when reigning queen Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand will crown her successor.

The Philippines has won the Miss World crown once, with Megan Young making history in 2013.
