Arvin Belarmino's 'Ria' to screen at 31st Busan International Film Festival

“Ria,” directed by Arvin Belarmino, will have its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

“Ria” is one of the 23 independent films–12 Korean and 11 Asian–selected by BIFF for the festival’s Vision section. 

“Huge congratulations to ‘Ria’s amazing cast and crew,” according to 901 Studios. 

“Ria” is a joint production of the Philippines, Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia and Japan.

It tells the story of a “folk punk musician fighting to protect her energetic music and sanctuary from collapsing.”

The film stars Nour Hooshmand, Sylvia Sanchez, Iana Bernadez, Veronica Reyes, Anastasia Bartolome, Soliman Cruz, Kevin Regalado, RS Magtaan, Andre Miguel, Paolo O'Hara, Jing Diaz,  Rico Torrente, Mark Anthony Estabillo, Lei Tigcal  and Anthonio Mendiola Lana Jr.
