2 students under probe for grave threats in Taguig

Two students, including a minor, are under police investigation for allegedly making online threats of a school shooting in Taguig.
According to the Taguig police, the two were held after posting the threat, which spread on social media.
The incident is being investigated as grave threats under Section 282 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Authorities stressed that they take any threat against schools and students seriously.
“Any threat to public safety, whether online or offline, will be immediately verified, investigated, and dealt with in accordance with the law,” police said.
The public was urged to remain vigilant, avoid spreading unverified information, and promptly report any credible threat or information that could aid the investigation.
Earlier, similar school shooting threats were made against Taguig National High School, Maria Asuncion Rodriguez Tiñga Memorial High School, and Moreh Academy Taguig.
