Police Lt. Col. Edison Garcia, Silay police chief, said the victims were heading to the barangay proper when they hit a carabao which suddenly crossed the road.
Both riders were thrown off the motorcycle which caused them injuries.
Ed was declared dead in a hospital, while Janjan passed away hours later, according to Garcia.
In a photo released by authorities, the carabao sustained a huge bruise on its left calf.
Garcia said that two carabaos at the roadside fought, and one of them was able to run towards the road which caused the accident.
