Police arrested two men, including a convicted drug offender, in separate operations in Taguig City and Pasig City.
In Taguig, police nabbed alias “Joel,” 44, a construction worker and resident of Barangay East Rembo, during a buy-bust operation on Aug. 23 on 28th Avenue, where an undercover officer acted as a poseur-buyer and negotiated with him.
During the operation, police seized four plastic sachets containing 18.3 grams of shabu worth P124,440, along with buy-bust money and boodle money.
He will face charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, police arrested alias “Josue,” 36, a painter tagged as a most wanted person, in an operation on Patukod Street in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig, on Aug. 22.
He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for service of sentence in a case for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165.
The warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Bernard Bernal of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70.
The suspect was brought to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital for physical and medical examination and is now under police custody.
Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco commended the operating units for the arrests.
