Ryan Bang gets emotional recalling cancelled wedding with Paola Huyong

Ryan Bang was visibly affected recalling the wedding that never was.

He was among the hosts who took part in "It'sShowtime's" “Shout Out To Your Ex” challenge on August 22.

What started as a lighthearted segment took an emotional turn when Ryan took the mic.

He appeared to set aside the humor of the challenge and instead delivered a short but poignant reflection on his past relationship with Paola Huyong.

“Ako’y may dating kasintahan. At dati kaming nagmamahalan. Pero 'di pumayag ang tadhana. Kaya hindi kami nag-tuloy sa dambana.”

The final line appeared to hit Ryan hard.

Seeing Ryan become emotional, his fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts immediately comforted him, turning what had initially been a playful segment into a heartfelt moment.

Ryan and Paola were previously engaged and had made plans to get married, but it did not push through. The two eventually went their separate ways.
