Man found dead in Gumaca river

GUMACA, Quezon- An unidentified man was found dead and floating in the Peñafrancia River, near the bridge, on Monday morning, Aug. 24, in this town.

According to reports, residents spotted the body atthe river around 8 a.m. and immediately notified the authorities.

Authorities quickly responded and conducted a retrieval operation at the river.

As of press time, the victim’s identity remains unknown, and an investigation by the police is ongoing.

Investigators are also looking into the cause and the circumstances surrounding his death.

They are awaiting the results of the investigation and any information that could help identify the victim and determine the true cause of the incident.
