Kim Soo-hyun makes first public appearance through TV event in Indonesia
Actor Kim Soo-hyun made his first public appearance after more than a year in an event in Indonesia.
The “Queen of Tears” star was a special guest on Indonesian TV network RCTI’s 37th anniversary event "Mahakarya RCTI 37" on Aug. 23.
Wearing a white suit, Kim Soo-hyun greeted those present with a smile saying, “Thank you for inviting me to such a meaningful event."
He also sang “Dreaming,” an original soundtrack from the 2011 Korean drama “Dream High” which he starred in.
“Thank you Kim Soo-Hyun for coming to MAHAKRYA RCTI 37! Such a great moment,” RCTI posted on Instagram along with a video of Kim Soo-hyun.
RCTI reported that hundreds of fans welcomed Kim Soo-hyun when he arrived at the MNC Studios in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
He was welcomed by MNC Group Co-CEO Angela Tanoesoedibjo and RCTI President Director Valencia Tanoesoedibjo.
“Mahakarya RCTI 37” featured performances, including from Indonesia’s top soap opera stars.
One of the evening's treats was the wedding celebration between Sena and Davina from the Indonesian soap opera "Terikat Janji."
The RCTI event was Kim Soo-hyun’s first public appearance in more than a year after getting embroiled in a controversy surrounding the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
He has since been cleared by the police on allegations that he dated Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor.
His main accuser, YouTuber Kim Se-ui of the channel HoverLab previous, was arrested for defamation.
