Two alleged motornapping suspects were arrested in Llanera, Nueva Ecija, with the stolen motorcycle and other items recovered during the operation.
CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — Two men were arrested and the motorcycle they stole was recovered following a swift hot-pursuit operation by police in Llanera, Nueva Ecija on Saturday, August 22.
The Llanera Municipal Police Station (MPS) responded to a report from a concerned citizen regarding an alleged motornapping incident in Barangay Villa Veniegas.
Police said one of the suspects allegedly entered the victim’s premises and took a Suzuki Raider Satria motorcycle.
An eyewitness reportedly saw the incident, prompting the suspect to abandon the motorcycle and flee onboard a red car that was allegedly driven by a cohort.
Authorities immediately gave chase, resulting in the interception of the alleged getaway vehicle in Barangay Florida Blanca.
The operation led to the arrest of two men, aged 39 and 28, both residents of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Recovered from them 0.3 gram of suspected shabu valued at P2,400, a glass tooter, live ammunition consisting of three 9mm rounds, one .38-caliber round, and two .45-caliber rounds, as well as a black firearm replica, rolled aluminum foils, and a balisong.
The suspects and recovered items were brought to Llanera MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
Police said appropriate charges are being prepared against the suspects.
Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office Director PCOL Ritchie R. Claravall commended the Llanera police personnel for their swift response.
