Lea Salonga gets emotional as Nic Chien heads to college

Lea Salonga turned emotional as she sent off her son, Nic Chien, who is out to start his college journey.
In an Instagram post, the celebrity mom posted a series of photos documenting the moment Nic moved into his dorm.
The two shared a tight hug before parting ways.
"My babes is now officially moved into his dorm. This new adventure has begun in earnest. It was definitely an emotional few days for us, but we’ll be okay.”

Lea and Nic were joined by Victor Lirio, whom the Broadway star expressed gratitude to.
"Many thanks to Victor for driving the long drive, schlepping all the things, and treating me to a much-needed espresso martini when we returned to the city,” she added.
At the end of her post, Lea penned a sweet message to her son Nic.
"Onward and upward, Nic! We’re all so proud of you!”
