ILOILO CITY—For the first half of the month, the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) ranked third nationwide in arresting Other Wanted Persons (OWPs) with 111 suspects in their custody.
“Ang pagkamit ng PRO-6 sa Top 3 nationwide OWP rating ay patunay ng sipag at determinasyon ng ating mga kapulisan na matunton at maaresto ang mga indibidwal na may pananagutan sa batas (PRO-6’s achievement of a Top 3 nationwide OWP rating is a testament to the diligence and determination of our police force to track down and arrest individuals accountable under the law),” said Brigadier General Ranfulf Tuaño.
According to the data of the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management, PRO-6 achieved a rating of 1.04 percent in arresting OWPs from August 1-15 2026. It is only behind PRO-8 at 1.34 percent and PRO-2 at 1.15 percent.
PRO-6 was also able to arrest 46 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) during the same period. This included 10 of Western Visayas’ MWP.
Tuaño also thanked the public for consistently providing vital information and encouraged citizens to maintain their cooperation with the police to keep communities safe and peaceful.
Meanwhile, PRO-6 will continue to intensify arresting MWPs and OWPs via intelligence-driven operations.
