Bela Padilla has finally addressed reports that she became a headache on the set of “Blood Vs. Duty,” with claims that she meddled in creative decisions and clashed with some of her fellow actors.
Padilla denied the allegations, but what seemed to bother her more was how the stories came out in the first place.
She said she was still working on the project and would remain on set for another two weeks when she started hearing things about herself that left her wondering whom she could trust.
“I gave my 1000% to the project. Everybody knew that,” Padilla said in a recent interview.
“I was surprised so many things came out, especially while I was still working on the project. I was still there for two more weeks.”
The reports, she admitted, got into her head.
“I started feeling bad, thinking, who can I trust here? Like, what’s happening here?” she said.
Padilla said she continued talking to everyone on set, even as names were being mentioned in connection with the reports.
“There were names mentioned and those mentioned are still my friends to this day,” she said. “So it was very confusing for me.”
Rather than simply brushing off the reports, Padilla said the experience made her question things she had previously taken for granted, including her own actions.
“I started questioning everything I know about life, like who to trust, what to do, what to say, what I can’t say,” she said.
She even found herself having to defend things she felt were easily verifiable, such as reports that she would arrive late on set.
“Even things like I come on set late, I could refute that because sometimes I come earlier than the production,” she said.
Padilla did not name names, but appeared to be referring to reports and comments that had circulated about her while she was still filming the project.
“It’s so unnerving that you can make up so many things. You can read about yourself in such a different light na parang I started questioning myself, did I do something wrong?” she said.
