A 34-year-old man allegedly involved in a Quezon City robbery was arrested after police tracked a stolen iPad through its GPS on Thursday, Aug. 20.
The suspect, alias “Bong,” was arrested by personnel of the Fairview Police Station (PS 5) at around 3 p.m. in Pasong Putik, Quezon City, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported.
The robbery was discovered at around 6:30 a.m. when the complainant and her daughter returned to their residence in Barangay Greater Fairview and found that the door lock had allegedly been forcibly damaged.
They checked the house and discovered that several personal belongings were missing before seeking police assistance.
During the follow-up investigation, PS 5 personnel learned that one of the stolen items, an iPad A16, had an active GPS tracking feature.
