Green Card applicants in Las Piñas continued to receive medical assistance on Wednesday, Aug. 19, even as regular City Hall operations were suspended, underscoring the city government’s effort to keep vital healthcare support accessible to residents.
Mayor April Aguilar personally attended to applicants during the suspension, ensuring that families in urgent need could still process requests for hospitalization aid.
Her involvement kept the program responsive at a time when routine services were halted.
For low income households, the Green Card remains a lifeline, offering up to ₱30,000 in hospitalization assistance to ease the burden of medical emergencies.
City officials have maintained the program as part of Las Piñas’ broader social welfare and healthcare support, recognizing that hospital costs can quickly overwhelm families.
By keeping the Green Card process active, the administration emphasized its commitment to essential services for residents facing emergencies and financial hardship.
