Batching plant supervisor gunned down in Batangas

LIPA CITY, Batangas — A 49‑year‑old batching plant supervisor was shot to death while drinking in front of his house Wednesday night, Aug. 19, in Purok 5, Barangay Rizal.
Police identified the victim as Elmer, an employee of Remix Batching Plant and a resident of the area.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at Divine Love Medical Center.
According to his son Emerson, Elmer was drinking with Van Allen Paul Garcia when four successive gunshots rang out.
Emerson rushed outside and saw his father lying on the ground while the gunman, wearing a hat, reloaded his firearm and fired twice more.
The suspect fled on a black motorcycle toward Barangay Calamias.
Police are investigating the killing.
