The Taguig City government ordered the forced evacuation of 11 families along C5 Road on Wednesday, Aug. 19, due to the threat of a landslide and other hazards.
Barangay Western Bicutan said the evacuation and road closure were carried out to ensure residents’ safety.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office’s Search and Rescue Team, the Public Order and Safety Office, and the Taguig police conducted an ocular assessment in high risk areas of the barangay.
The city government also removed a wall that had tilted and collapsed onto C5 Road.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office and Barangay Western Bicutan coordinated to ensure the orderly evacuation of affected families.
Continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon have flooded areas across Metro Manila, including Taguig.
