Police, private groups embarked on on 'habagat' relief operation in Benguet
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) took part in relief operations to help families affected by the tropical cyclones and the southwest monsoon, or "habagat", in La Trinidad, Benguet on August 19.
Spearheaded by the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PNPAAAI)-CAR Chapter, and in partnership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Metrobank Foundation, the initiative provided relief goods to 300 affected families, including local porters.
Additionally, medicines, clothes, biscuits, hygiene kits, educational materials, and school supplies will be turned over to the Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministry to support its ongoing efforts in assisting communities in need.
Through the combined efforts of government agencies, private organizations, and partner stakeholders, PRO CAR continues to provide aid and bring hope to communities still reeling from the effects of the typhoons and monsoon rains affecting the region.
