The new Pepsi formula promises a stronger, bubblier take on the familiar cola, with food and shared moments at the center
There are meals, and then there are meals made better with a cold soda. Pepsi Philippines is giving that familiar pairing a little more fizz with the launch of Pepsi Extra Fizz, a new take on its cola with a stronger, bubblier fizz.
The new offering was introduced at the GoExtra event at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City, where Pepsi Brand Ambassador Mimiyuuuh joined celebrities and influencers for an afternoon of music, games, interactive booths, performances, and photo opportunities. A larger-than-life Pepsi can installation was also part of the event.
Pepsi Extra Fizz is described as a revamp of regular Pepsi, with a tastier formula and stronger fizz designed to complement meals and shared occasions. The launch positions the drink as a companion to the food moments that are part of everyday life, particularly those enjoyed with friends and family.

The campaign takes its cue from Gen Z's appetite for bigger moments and extra experiences. Pepsi describes the generation as authentic and expressive, with a willingness to challenge the status quo, and the new drink is positioned as a reflection of that spirit.
Food is central to the new offering. Pepsi specifically cites lechon, adobo, pancit, and fried chicken, as well as new food-trip discoveries, as pairings for the Extra Fizz experience. The drink is also positioned for spontaneous hangouts after class, late-night food runs, weekend barkada feasts and everyday cravings.
The launch event brought that youthful positioning to life through its programming, with attendees dancing to the new Pepsi Extra Fizz jingle and taking part in games and other activities.
The new Pepsi Extra Fizz is now available nationwide at leading supermarkets, convenience stores, groceries and online shopping platforms.
