La Mesa Dam stayed at Alert Level 3 on Wednesday, Aug. 19, with excess water threatening to spill into low‑lying areas along the Tullahan River in Quezon City.
As of 3 p.m., the dam's water level was at 80 meters.
The areas expected to be affected include Fairview, Forest Hills Subdivision, Quirino Highway, and San Bartolome.
Meanwhile, the Marikina River was at 14.90 meters, while the Quirino (Tullahan) River and San Juan River were at 38.46 meters and 11.66 meters, respectively, with no alert levels reported for the three waterways.
The Quezon City government continued to monitor water levels for the safety of residents and advised those in potentially affected areas to continue monitoring official advisories, particularly those concerning rising water levels.
