DAVAO CITY – Davao City will host its first-ever festival dedicated to pens, stationery, journaling, and other forms of creative expression on August 29 and 30 alongside the month-long Kadayawan Festival celebration.
The Davao Pen and Stationery Fest 2026 will be held at Seda Abreeza, bringing together stationery enthusiasts, artists, independent makers, and journal creators from Davao Region and other areas.
The two-day event is organized by Kristine Lorraine Serrano, Rozel Gubi, and Cecille Kath Monterola, who also founded The Journal Circle.
Organizers said the festival will feature a place offering pens, paper products, journals, stickers, art materials, crafts, and other creative supplies for stationery enthusiasts and artists, among others.
"It will also include workshops, activities, raffles, and opportunities for attendees to meet fellow creatives," Serrano said. "Workshops will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both days at Board Rooms Abel 2 and Abel 3."
Gubi said activities on Aug. 29 will include journal-making, rubber-stamp carving, travel journaling, brush lettering, and an introductory session on fountain pens and inks.
Meanwhile, the Aug. 30 lineup will feature brush calligraphy, glass-pen writing, journal annotation, travel journaling, and mark-making activities, Monterola said.
The festival will open at 10 a.m. for VIP guests and 11 a.m. for general admission on both days. The program will run until 8 p.m.
Organizers said the event aims to provide a space for people interested in journaling, illustration, lettering, crafts, and other creative activities to connect and learn from one another.
