Collapsed creek wall triggers flooding in San Fernando subdivision
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A collapsed wall along a creek triggered heavy flooding at Dizon Estate Phase 4 in Barangay San Agustin on Wednesday, according to the City of San Fernando, Pampanga Information Office.
As of 12 noon, floodwaters had affected portions of the residential area following the collapse of the creek wall.
Barangay San Agustin immediately responded and coordinated with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) to assess the situation and address the immediate needs of affected residents.
Authorities took the necessary measures to prevent further risks, particularly for households located near the creek.
Residents were advised to avoid going near the affected portion of the creek and to follow safety instructions issued by local authorities.
Response teams remained on the ground to assess the situation, assist the affected households, and help prevent further danger as monitoring continued.
