  • AC Bonifacio addresses the latest buzz surrounding her, including her friendship with Sassa Gurl and Michael Sager and her breakup with Harvey Bautista.

AC Bonifacio has been keeping busy, even as her name continues to figure in a few of the more talked-about showbiz issues lately.

From her friendship with Sassa Gurl and Michael Sager to questions about her breakup with Harvey Bautista, AC has found herself fielding questions about the people around her almost as much as she talks about her own projects.

On “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” AC addressed all three, making it clear where she stands.

AC said she has no bad blood with Sassa over the remark the latter made during the media conference for their movie “Saving Cherry,” seemingly highlighting her being a Star Magic talent in a film filled mostly with artists from GMA.

Some netizens felt that the comment put AC in an uncomfortable position.

But AC said she understood where Sassa was coming from.

“Honestly, it was just funny,” she said. “Sassa’s really that way both online and offline, she jokes that way. It has no meaning.”

AC said she laughed because the comment was genuinely funny to her and because she and Sassa had never really discussed their respective network affiliations.

“I know we’ve never had a conversation about being Kapamilya or Kapuso so we just really came together as one,” she said.

The two also talked about the incident after the press conference.

“We just talked it out. She apologized to me and I said, you know what, it’s OK, it’s fine. That’s how our friendship is. If people take it differently, that’s just how the world works,” AC said.

AC also had nothing but good things to say about Michael, her fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemate and “Born to Shine” co-star.

The two became close while inside the PBB house, and AC said their friendship has continued outside the reality show.

“We both found out that we’re both from Vancouver and you know how it’s really hard to find someone that you get close with in an industry like this,” she said.

AC then put to rest speculation that Michael had anything to do with her breakup with Harvey Bautista.

“He was probably a conversation during one time in our two years and that was it, never again,” she said.

AC and Harvey were in a relationship for about two years, with their romance becoming public while they were both part of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.”

As for the breakup itself, she seemed to have little interest in dwelling on it.

“That’s life,” she said when the subject came up.
