STA. CRUZ, Laguna- Governor Sol Aragones empowered persons with disability (PWD) by providing sustsinable livelihood training on August 19, at the Laguna Sports Complex Multi-Purpose Gymnasium here.
Two hundred PWD's underwent the training focused on hydroponics, organic farming, and tilapia propagation, providing them with practical knowledge and skills that may be applied to livelihood projects and other income generating activities.
It was facilitated by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), in collaboration with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist and Agricultural Extension Services (FAES-OPAG),
The initiative reflected the provincial government’s commitment to inclusive development and sustainable livelihood, ensuring that PWDs are given opportunities to enhance their skills, become more self reliant, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Through the continued collaboration of PDAO, PSWDO, and FAES-OPAG, Aragones continues to strengthen programs that empower persons with disabilities and advance a more inclusive and resilient Laguna.
