CALASIAO, Pangasinan — The Marusay-Sinocalan River reached 10 feet above normal level (ANL), or critical level, on Tuesday, August 18, as rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat caused water levels to rise anew.
The renewed rise in the level of water at the river has left several areas in Calasiao still affected by flooding, particularly communities near the river and low-lying areas.
Authorities appealed to residents to remain vigilant and closely monitor children and family members to prevent accidents.
Likewise, residents urged to avoid unnecessary contact with floodwaters and to stay updated on official advisories.
Transportation in some areas are no longer available except the used of kuliglig a farm machinery .
