CAMILING, Tarlac — A former rebel voluntarily surrendered to authorities and turned over a firearm at the Second Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) Headquarters in Barangay Malacampa, Camiling, Tarlac, on August 18, 2026.
The process was led by the 2nd PMFC of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the San Jose Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, 3rd Mechanized Battalion, 304th Maneuver Platoon, 302nd Brigade of the Philippine Army, and SAC 23.
Tarlac Police said the surrenderer was a former member of the KLG-TARZAM, which reportedly operated in Tarlac, Zambales and nearby provinces.
He also surrendered a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number.
According to authorities, the firearm was allegedly given to him by their leader.
Tarlac Police Provincial Director PCOL Harry R. Lorenzo III said authorities remain committed to supporting former rebels who choose to return to the fold of the law and facilitating their reintegration into the community.
