More than two years after “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” went off the air, Chariz Solomon has received 50% of the talent fee she was owed for the short-lived noontime show.
Chariz revealed the development during her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” where she jokingly announced that she finally had some good news to share.
“I’m happy to announce... first and exclusive here! Tito Boy, masayang-masaya po akong i-share na naibigay na nila yung 50-percent sa aming mga host. I believed sa iba rin sa staff at production. I think nauna pa yata sila,” Chariz said.
While Chariz said she and her fellow hosts were not angry over the delayed payments, she acknowledged that they had financial obligations to deal with.
She explained that they had gone for two months without pay while working on the show, and had also turned down other job opportunities to prioritize “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
Chariz said she continues to get bashed for accepting the hosting job.
“It’s sad kasi… guys, kahit hindi namin ‘yon tanggapin may ibang tatanggap nu’n, may ibang gagawa nu’n. The show will go on. It must,” she said.
Looking back, however, Chariz said she still enjoyed being part of the noontime program and learned a lot from the experience.
“Sobrang ang dami naming natutunan. Ibang klase yung pagod, ibang klase rin yung saya… mga taong nakikilala mo,” she said.
“Tahanang Pinakamasaya” aired on GMA Network for several months in 2024, replacing “Eat Bulaga.” It was produced by Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. and ended its broadcast run on March 7, 2024.
