LA TRINIDAD Benguet - The weeklong manhunt operations led to the arrest of 58 wanted persons, while 61 municipal and city police stations recorded zero crime incidents as a result of intensified anti-criminality efforts in Cordillera from August 9 to 15.
Throughout the week, the service of warrants across the region resulted in the apprehension of 21 wanted persons by the Baguio City Police Office (CPO)—the highest among all units.
Among those apprehended, 12 were listed as Most Wanted Persons: five at the Regional Level, five at the Provincial Level, and two at the Municipal Level. The remaining 46 were listed as Other Wanted Persons.
The Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) followed with 15 apprehensions, Abra PPO with eight, Kalinga PPO with six, Ifugao PPO with five, Apayao PPO with two, and Mountain Province PPO with one.
In addition to these accomplishments, a total of 61 police units—comprising 58 municipalities and three city police stations—recorded zero crime incidents during the same period.
These include 24 municipalities in Abra, 10 in Mountain Province, eight in Ifugao, six in Kalinga, and five each in Apayao and Benguet, alongside Police Stations 2, 4, and 6 of the Baguio CPO.
The Police Regional Office- Cordillera remains steadfast in fulfilling its mandate to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order, as reflected in its 80.49% Crime Clearance Efficiency and 65.85% Crime Solution Efficiency.
These figures underscore the organization’s sustained operational effectiveness and commitment to upholding the law and ensuring justice.
