Lucy vocalist Choi Sang-yeop announces upcoming marriage to non-celebrity GF
Choi Sang-yeop, the main vocalist of Korean band Lucy, is getting married this month to his longtime non-celebrity girlfriend.
The 32-year-old singer shared the news with fans through the fan communication platform Bubble, describing the wedding as the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
“I am about to embark on a new chapter of my life with someone I have cherished and relied on for a long time,” Choi said.
He also assured fans that marriage will not change his commitment to music.
“Just as I have done until now, I will continue to cherish my heart and sense of responsibility toward music without change, and I will do my best to repay you with better music and a better image on stage,” he said.
Choi asked fans to continue supporting him as he takes this next step.
“I would be grateful if you would continue to watch over me with a warm heart,” he added.
His agency, Mystic Story, confirmed the upcoming wedding, saying Choi is “preparing for a new beginning with a special partner this coming August.”
The ceremony will be held privately out of consideration for the bride. The agency did not disclose further details about the wedding or Choi’s fiancée.
Choi will continue his activities as a member of Lucy, which debuted in 2020.
