Heart Evangelista, John Prats reunite after 23 years: 'It was really healing'

It was a closure she never saw coming, but one that Heart Evangelista is more than thankful for.

Heart recently reunited with her former love team partner and boyfriend, John Prats, more than two decades after their tandem abruptly came to an end. She described the experience as “healing.”

“Our love team ended abruptly. It’s just so nice na (although) we couldn’t keep our love team forever but our friendship is now forever,” Heart said.

Note that the two never spoke or saw each other for years.

“As in, from being together 24/7 everyday for like 5 to 6 years, to never seeing each other again,” she said.

She admitted that the split was decided by the powers that be, although she also acknowledged her part in it.

“Kasi parang, I feel like personally din, hindi na rin kami okay. And we were so young to handle so much pressure,” Heart said.

Now that they’re back in each other’s lives, Heart related how they have since made a promise to each other.

“I’m very, very thankful and happy that okay na ulit kami ni John and nagsasama kami and we’re very close and we’re a family,” she said.

“We promised each other that we will always be in each other’s lives forever,” she added.

And yes, they are working together again.

“We are definitely working on something. And we’re very, very hands-on. It’s very personal para sa amin,” Heart revealed.

They’re doing it not only for themselves, but also for the fans.

“We’re giving them the fan service that they deserve kasi they supported us and we laid the foundation and they’ve supported us for so many years when we were in our team.”

“So hopefully, we will (be able to) say what that is exactly (soon),” Heart added.
