The suspension also covers work in local and national government offices in the city, in accordance with Executive Order No. 51 issued by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez.
The suspension was implemented as a precaution amid continued rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, and due to the possibility of rising water levels and flooding in some areas.
Schools may shift to online, modular, distance learning, or other alternative learning modalities to ensure continuity of education.
On the other hand, the personnel assigned to emergency response, health, rescue, peace and order, traffic management, public safety, flood control, social welfare, and disaster response will continue reporting for duty.
The CDRRMO and PARMC will continue monitoring weather conditions, water levels, flooding, and road conditions.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and monitor official updates.
