19 arrested, P780,000 shabu, guns seized in Cavite

CAVITE – A total of 19 individuals were arrested while over P780,000 worth of suspected shabu and several firearms were confiscated in separate police operations in Tanza and Bacoor City on Sunday, Aug. 16.
In Bacoor, two high-value individuals identified as alias Mon and alias Salie were nabbed for illegal drug trade at 1:00 a.m. in Barangay Niog.

Seized from their possession were 50 grams of white crystalline substance with an estimated street value of P340,000.
In Tanza, meanwhile, operatives collared 17 individuals in what the Cavite Police Provincial Office (Cavite PPO) called a “one-time, big-time” operation addressing loose firearms and illegal drug activities in Barangay Bagtas.
Seized were three caliber .45 firearms, one caliber .38 revolver, ammunition, and a total of 65 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P442,000.

In a statement, Cavite PPO Director Col. Ariel R. Red said the successful operations highlight the police’s aggressive but lawful operations to suppress illegal drugs, recover loose firearms, and ensure public safety and security.
