No power in parts of Tondo on Aug. 16 due to pole replacement

Parts of Tondo, Manila are scheduled to experience power interruptions on Sunday, Aug. 16, due to the replacement of electrical poles along Honorio Lopez Boulevard in Balut.

Meralco issued the advisory at around 8 a.m. Sunday, with the affected areas set to experience interruptions at different times throughout the day.

Portions of Circuit North Port 403H will have interruptions from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 2 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The affected areas include portions of Honorio Lopez Boulevard, from near Juan Luna Street to Alcalde, Bilbao, Dalaga, Dandan and Lakandula streets, as well as a portion of Velasquez Street from Infanta Street to near Ugbo Street.

A longer interruption is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for portions of Circuits North Port 403H and 44H.

This will affect a portion of Honorio Lopez Boulevard from Infanta Street to Beltran, Buendia, C. Dayao, C. Edugue, Guidote, Kaunlaran, Nava, Pinoy, Rodriguez and Salonga streets in Balut.

Meralco said the power interruption is necessary for pole replacement along Honorio Lopez Boulevard.

Service may be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
