Fans have been following Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley’s growing closeness, but there’s one detail about their story that we didn’t know: Mika had already turned Will down before.

In her latest vlog, Mika revealed that Will had tried to court her while they were filming a series.

“Nung nagte-taping kami for a serye, before, si Will, nanliligaw siya sa akin,” she shared.

She also remembered how Will would send fruits to her unit after picking up on the things she casually said she was craving.

“Magugulat ako, galing kay Will. Lahat kami busog—lagi,” Mika recalled.

Will later confirmed the surprising part of their story himself, joking, “Kung hindi mo ’ko binasted last year, e di sana araw-araw tayong ganito.”

But apparently, being rejected didn't make Will give up.

Mika recently opened up about where they stand now, revealing that Will has continued to make an effort.

“To be honest, kung may scoring, high score kasi sobrang close namin ngayon. He has been consistent in pursuing me.”

And unlike before, Mika said she's happy about his continued pursuit.

Their current closeness makes the revelation even more interesting.

Fans have already noticed how comfortable Mika and Will seem around each other, but knowing that Will previously courted her—and is still doing so—adds another layer to their relationship.

Will first expressed his admiration for Mika during their "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" days, and the pair later reunited as co-stars in "The Secrets of Hotel 88."

So, are they officially a couple? They haven't put a label on their relationship publicly but with Mika admitting that Will is still pursuing her and that she's happy about it, fans definitely have something new to be excited about.
