Female drug den operator, four others arrested in Mabalacat raid

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A 46-year-old woman allegedly operating a drug den and four others were arrested during a law enforcement operation in Barangay Dau here on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 15.
The operation was conducted through the implementation of a search warrant by joint operatives led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga Provincial Office, with support from the Mabalacat City Police Station.
The alleged drug den operator was identified by authorities as alias “Joyce,” 46. Four other suspects were also arrested and identified by their aliases as “Beck,” 55; “Len-Len,” 20; “Kiko,” 24; and “Leo,” 43.
Authorities reportedly seized six plastic sachets containing approximately 13 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P88,400, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects are temporarily detained at the PDEA Region 3 Jail Facility in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The confiscated suspected illegal drugs will undergo forensic examination at the PDEA Region 3 laboratory.
Authorities are preparing charges against the suspects for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for filing before the appropriate court.(Liezle Basa Inigo)
