How a company supports and develops its employees can shape both workplace experience and long-term performance. For organizations with a wide range of people and responsibilities, creating opportunities for employees to learn, grow, and contribute is key to building a strong workforce. Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) recently received recognition for these efforts after being named the overall top-performing organization at the 5th HR Excellence Awards Philippines, earning nine awards across Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories.
Held on August 6 at the Grand Hyatt Manila, the awards ceremony saw ALI receive six Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze award, the highest tally among the 64 participating organizations. Presented annually by Human Resources Online, the HR Excellence Awards Philippines recognizes organizations for their work across areas such as talent development, employee experience, workplace culture, rewards, and digital transformation. Winners are selected by an independent panel of senior HR and business leaders.
The recognition also highlights the role of ALI’s employees in advancing these initiatives. Isa Sagun, chief human resources officer of Ayala Land, said the achievement reflects the collective effort of the company’s workforce.

“We’re honored by this recognition because it reflects what matters most to us: creating a workplace where people can thrive, grow, and do meaningful work together. This recognition belongs to every ALIzen. Building a workplace where people thrive is a collective effort, and this award reflects the passion, dedication, and heart of our entire team.”
ALI’s six Gold awards covered HR management, performance management, learning and development, talent pipeline strategy, talent mobility, and corporate social responsibility. Among the initiatives recognized were efforts to bring HR functions across business units into a more integrated structure, strengthen performance management through digital tools, and provide employees with opportunities for continuous learning, leadership development, and career progression.
The company also received Silver awards for its Total Rewards Strategy and Corporate Wellness programs. These recognized efforts to create a more consistent approach to compensation, benefits, and recognition, as well as ALIve to Thrive, which supports employee wellbeing across areas including physical, mental, financial, social, and environmental wellness. Its Bronze award for Digital Transformation recognized the use of digital tools to streamline the customer journey across sales, financing, and engagement.
Taken together, the recognition reflects how employee development is being incorporated into ALI’s broader approach to running its business. By strengthening the systems, programs, and opportunities available to its workforce, the company is building an environment where employees can develop their capabilities while contributing to the organization’s long-term direction.
