Top Filipino netters and rising stars converge at the CSA Tennis Stadium in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan as the 2026 Gentry Open fires off on Thursday, Aug. 20 at the CSA Tennis Stadium.
Founded by entrepreneur and sports aficionado Hayb “Pareng Hayb” Anzures, the second edition of the tournament offers a P3-million prize pool with a strong field spearheaded by Davis Cup veterans AJ Lim and Francis Casey Alcantara.
Lim is seeking redemption after an injury forced him out of last year’s final. Other leading Filipino bets include Joven Ronard, Vicente Anasta, John Bona, Arthur Pantino and Christopher Papa.
Reigning women’s champion Tenny Madis leads the Filipina charge alongside Igg Pantino, Kaye-ann Emana, Louraine Jallorina and Marian Capadocia.
“This competition is committed to helping Filipino athletes to chase bigger dreams, play their best game, and believe they can succeed in international competitions [and] that’s one of the things that motivates us,” said Anzures.
The men’s singles champion will receive P400,000, while the women’s winner gets P200,000, with prizes also up for grabs in doubles, age-group and junior divisions.
Organizers said more than 1,300 players have registered, prompting a one-day extension of the qualifiers. Winners of the qualifying rounds will advance to the main draw.
The Gentry Open also hopes to expand collegiate participation through partnerships with schools and strengthen ties between Filipino and Indian tennis communities in developing youth programs.
