MANDALUYONG CITY — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) recently donated medicines worth ₱30,000 each to Barangay Poblacion in Malasiqui, Pangasinan, and Barangay 413 in Manila through its Medicine Donation Program during a ceremonial turnover held at the PCSO Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City.
Representing the PCSO management, Division Chief III Dr. Rouel Aparato led the turnover of the medicine packages, reaffirming the agency's commitment to making basic healthcare assistance more accessible to communities.
Barangay Poblacion Chairperson Francisco Mejia Jr. and Barangay 413 Chairperson Rafael Mendoza Jr. personally received the donated medicines on behalf of their respective constituents during the ceremony held on Aug. 3, 2026,.
The barangay officials thanked PCSO for the assistance, noting that the medicines will be distributed to indigent residents to help address their basic healthcare needs.
The Medicine Donation Program is one of PCSO's initiatives aimed at providing essential medicines to local government units and communities, particularly those with limited access to healthcare services. The program complements the agency's charitable mandate by supporting grassroots health initiatives and improving access to basic medical assistance.
