TAYUM, Abra — A farmer gathering mushrooms in a forested area of Barangay Bagalay here instead discovered the decomposing body of an unidentified man around noon Wednesday.
The farmer immediately reported the grisly discovery to a barangay tanod, who relayed the information to the Tayum Municipal Police Station.
Police said their initial assessment indicated that the man may have been dead for three to four days.
The unidentified man was estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, about five feet tall, and was wearing only blue-green shorts when found.
