Truck runs over, kills driver in freak accident in Tagbilaran

CEBU CITY–A 61-year-old driver died in a freak accident in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, on Tuesday night, August 11.
Police said the victim, a certain Junior, was run over by the Isuzu closed van that he was driving.
Investigation conducted by the Tagbilaran City Police Station showed that the victim stopped on M. Chatto Drive to check the front portion of the van.
While checking, the unmanned vehicle moved forward and pinned the driver down.
After running over the driver, the truck continued moving forward and hit a tricycle before ramming into a concrete electric post.
The victim was brought to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center where he was later declared dead.
