Man, 68, arrested in Taguig for lascivious acts vs niece

Authorities arrested a 68-year-old man for allegedly committing acts of lasciviousness against his 13-year-old niece in Barangay Rizal, Taguig, on Aug. 13.

According to Taguig police, at about 11:40 a.m., the victim was preparing to go to school inside their residence when she was confronted by the suspect, identified as alias “RRCP.”

Fearing for her safety, the victim immediately left the house and reported the incident to a friend and her friend’s mother, who promptly sought assistance from barangay authorities.

Barangay Security Force (BSF) officers apprehended the suspect and turned him over to personnel of Taguig Police Sub-Station 10.

The suspect was brought to the police station for documentation and will face criminal charges for violation of Article 336 (acts of lasciviousness) of the Revised Penal Code.

Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco commended the Taguig police and barangay officials for their swift action.
