Jojie Lloren has his way of making women feel elegant and confident through the way he designs his pieces. His collections are always poetic, merging narratives with precise techniques, resulting in pieces that feel both deeply personal and timeless.

That’s Jojie as a designer: he is always a giver. He gives pieces of himself through every collection, sharing his stories, his craftsmanship, and his deep appreciation for the women who wear his clothes. His generosity also extends to his role as a mentor, honing the skills of young designers and sharing the knowledge and experience he has gained throughout his career.

This time, he is combining his mission of creating purposeful garments and supporting emerging creatives as he unveils his newest project: J. Lloren Editions. Its goal is to create collectible luxury garments that embody artistic excellence, cultural significance, and enduring craftsmanship.

“I've spent most of my career making couture, creating one garment at a time for one person at a time. Every piece was made with care because I knew exactly who it was for. Over the years, I started asking myself if there was a way to bring that same level of craftsmanship to more people without losing what made it special,” Jojie says.

“At the same time, I kept meeting incredibly talented Filipino artists who deserved more opportunities than they were getting,” the designer adds. “That made me wonder: What if a garment could be more than something you wear? What if it could also become a way for an artist's work to reach people in a different way?”

This is where J. Lloren Editions steps in. The series features limited-edition ready-to-wear pieces made in collaboration with some of the Philippines’ emerging creatives. For its inaugural collection, Jojie taps visual artist and printmaker Joey Cobcobo, photographer and visual artist Kim Montes, and Vicky Vizcarra Amalingan, Rita Nazareno, and Reese Rivilla of SC Vizcarra, mounting lines that feature collectible works, honor collaboration, and preserve cultural heritage. J. Lloren Editions is the veteran designer’s way of redefining luxury.

The Canvas Series honors the work of Joey, where art, fashion, and craftsmanship come together. Kim brings her distinctive eye to the first edition of the Lens Series, where photography becomes more than documentation. Lastly, the women of SC Vizcarra explore how weaving, fashion, and design can converge into collectible pieces that honor heritage while embracing modern luxury.

“Every J. Lloren Editions piece has a story behind it. It's made in very limited numbers and carries a piece of Filipino creativity,” Jojie muses. “Every design is strictly limited to just 12 pieces. To support exhibitions and special presentations, only an initial three to six pieces are produced. The remaining pieces are created on a made-to-order basis, ensuring that every garment is crafted only when there is a collector waiting to own it.”

Apart from collaborating with creatives and mindful manufacturing, J. Lloren Editions also spotlights the Artist Fund, Jojie’s long-term commitment to supporting Filipino creatives. The fund ensures that every purchase contributes directly to sustaining the Philippine creative community. A portion of proceeds from every edition contributes to initiatives that may include artist royalties, creative grants, residency opportunities, and mentorship programs, among others.

“What I hope is that, years from now, these pieces will still mean something to the people who own them,” the designer says. “Not just as clothes from a particular collection, but as a reminder of the artists and makers who came together to create them.”
