Personnel of the Taguig Police Warrant and Subpoena Section arrested a 22-year-old fisherman facing carnapping and robbery cases in Taguig on Aug. 12.

The suspect, identified as alias John Michael, a resident of Barangay Palingon Tipas, was classified by the Taguig police as a most wanted person.

Police officers served a warrant of arrest at his residence on Magsalin Street in the barangay.

The warrant, with no bail recommended, was issued on Aug. 11 by Presiding Judge Romeo Carmelito Caneja Conge of the Binangonan, Rizal Regional Trial Court Branch 67 for two cases of carnapping (Section 3 of Republic Act 10883) and robbery (Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code).

The suspect was brought to the Taguig City Health Office for medical examination before being turned over to the Warrant and Subpoena Section office.

Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco lauded the Taguig police for their efforts to track down wanted persons.
