Korean singers Chaeyoung, 27, of TWICE and Zion.T, 37, have denied reports that they have broken up.
On Aug. 14, a major Korean media outlet reported that the two singers broke up, quoting a music industry insider who said, "Recently, Chaeyoung and Zion.T ended their romantic relationship and returned to being senior and junior colleagues in the entertainment industry. Their relationship grew distant due to their busy schedules, leading to a natural breakup.”
The report came out a day after Chaeyoung announced that she has left JYP Entertainment.
After their agencies initially said they could not confirm the news, they eventually issued a statement to deny it.
"The breakup rumors are clearly groundless. After confirming with the artists themselves, we found that the two still have good feelings for each other and are continuing their beautiful relationship,” they said.
The two agencies warned that they will continue monitoring the situation to ensure that the artists' reputation is not damaged by baseless speculative articles, the dissemination of false information, or malicious posts.
In April 2024, Chaeyoung and Zion.T admitted being in a romantic relationship after a news report came out that they were dating.
The news report stated that Zion.T met Chaeyoung for the first time through her acquaintance and it turned into a romantic relationship.
