Bounty furthers its mission of making food better as it marks its 40th year

What started as a humble business with only 5,000 birds grew into a mega food empire in the Philippines and beyond. That, in a nutshell, was the story of the large-scale industrial agriculture corporation Bounty. Founded by the Cheng family in 1986, the business made it its mission to be part of the Filipino table. This year, it marks its 40th anniversary, celebrating the family’s legacy, as well as the people who made it what it is now: a homegrown food powerhouse.

To mark the occasion, the Cheng family invited guests and VIPs to the company’s “Celebrating 40 Years of Growth, Innovation, and Partnership” event. Held on July 28 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, the party served as a testament to its commitment to its “Food Made Better” campaign. It also highlighted the company’s latest expansion. In recent years, it has entered international markets, including Indonesia with Bounty Segar and New Zealand with Tegel Foods, Ltd.
While innovation and operational excellence have fueled Bounty’s growth, the company’s greatest strength has always been the people behind it. Every milestone over the past four decades has been made possible through the dedication of employees, the trust of customers, the partnership of suppliers, retailers, and financial institutions, and the commitment of thousands of growers and communities across the country.
“Forty years is never the achievement of one company alone. It belongs to every employee, grower, customer, supplier, retailer, financial institution, and partner who believed in our vision and helped build Bounty with us,” said Tennyson G. Chen, Chairman of Bounty Fresh Group Holdings, Inc. “As we look to the future, we remain committed to growing together—with integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to making food better for generations to come.”
