ATEEZ's Hongjoong diagnosed with rib fracture

ATEEZ leader Hongjoong has been diagnosed with a rib fracture after seeking medical attention for a persistent cough, according to his agency, KQ Entertainment.
The agency issued a statement on Aug. 13.
“Hongjoong recently visited the hospital due to a cough. Following a medical examination, he was diagnosed with a rib fracture and advised by medical professionals to get sufficient rest,” KQ Entertainment said.
Despite the recommendation to rest, Hongjoong has expressed his intention to continue participating in ATEEZ’s scheduled activities.
The agency said his health and well-being will remain its top priority.
Among the group’s upcoming engagements is the Istanbul Festivali on Aug. 14.
KQ Entertainment said Hongjoong’s participation in the performance, as well as in other scheduled activities, may be adjusted depending on his physical condition.
“Participation on stage may be adjusted depending on his physical condition,” the agency said.
KQ Entertainment added that it will continue to closely monitor Hongjoong’s condition and make necessary adjustments to his schedule to give him sufficient time to rest and recover.
“We will continue to prioritize our artist’s health and safety above all else,” the agency said.
