PCSO turns over Charitimba to LGUs under CSR Program

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reaffirmed its commitment to helping vulnerable communities as it recently turned over Charitimba food packs and other essential assistance under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program in ceremonies at the Executive Office on the 4th Floor of the Sun Plaza Building in Mandaluyong City.
Leading the ceremonial turnover held on July 23, 2026, was PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, together with Chairperson Ret. Judge Felix P. Reyes and Board Directors Jennifer E. Liongson-Guevara and Janet De Leon Mercado.
The assistance was extended to several local government beneficiaries, including the Province of Catanduanes, which received 500 Charitimba food packs; the Municipality of Ivisan, Capiz, which received 1,000 food packs; and the 2nd District of Valenzuela, which likewise received assistance under the agency’s CSR initiatives.
Receiving the donations on behalf of their respective localities were Felipe N. Yap for the Municipality of Ivisan, Capiz, and Joy Tamayo for the Province of Catanduanes.
The assistance, consisting of essential food packs and other basic support, is intended to provide immediate relief to families and individuals facing economic difficulties while helping local governments respond to the needs of their most vulnerable constituents.
Representatives of the beneficiary communities expressed their appreciation to the PCSO Board of Directors and General Manager Robles for approving their requests. They emphasized that the assistance would go a long way in supporting indigent families and other constituents confronted with economic and social challenges.
Through its CSR Program, the agency continues to translate its resources into tangible interventions that provide relief, dignity, and hope to Filipinos in need.
